U.S. Representative Peter Meijer (R-MI) today paid tribute to West Michigan law enforcement in honor of National Police Week, observed May 9-15 this year.
“Michigan has lost more than 600 law enforcement officers in the line of duty, including 15 from the Grand Rapids Police Department, six from the Battle Creek Police Department, and five between Barry, Kent, and Montcalm Counties,” said Rep. Meijer. “During National Police Week, I thank our law enforcement professionals and remember all who gave their lives in service to our communities.”
