WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today visited Covenant School in Huntington, West Virginia. During her visit, Congresswoman Miller met with Upper School students and presented congratulatory certificates to the high school boys and girls basketball teams for their hard work at the National Christian School Athletic Association Championship. The boys team placed first in the National Championship and the girls team placed second. Congresswoman Miller recently spoke on the House Floor to recognize the teams’ successes.
“It is absolutely crucial that we invest in West Virginia's next generation, starting with education," said Congresswoman Miller. "Covenant is one of the many outstanding schools in our community that is laying a strong foundation for our children to learn, grow, and eventually reinvest in our state. From athletics to academics, Covenant School does amazing work to prepare West Virginia’s future leaders for success. I was happy to visit today to congratulate the high school basketball teams and meet with students. Thank you for opening your doors to me!”
