WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) spoke on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives today to congratulate the Covenant School boys and girls basketball teams. The Covenant School is a K-12 classical Christian school located in Huntington, West Virginia.
The high school boys basketball team took home the National Championship in their division at the National Christian School Athletic Association 2022 Basketball Championship in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The high school girls basketball team came in second place in their division nationally at the same championship tournament.

I rise today to congratulate both the boys and girls high school basketball teams at the Covenant School in Huntington, West Virginia.
The boys high school basketball team took home the National Championship in their division and finished their season on an 11-game winning streak.
The girls high school basketball team came in 2nd place in their division nationally.
Athletics play a huge role in ensuring our next generation is well-rounded, able to work as a team, and equipped to tackle challenges.
I applaud Covenant for instilling these important values in their student athletes.
West Virginia is so proud of the Covenant School's basketball teams.
