Suzanne Bonamici: We have a new congressional map

Oregon

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Oregon has a new 6th congressional district! For the first time in 40 years, Oregon will have another seat at the table in the House of Representatives.

But that's not the only change. The current five districts have been redrawn to balance the population. The district I'm honored to represent, Oregon's 1st now includes Tillamook County on the Oregon coast, as well as several new neighborhoods in downtown, southwest, and inner southeast Portland.

I'm excited to introduce myself to these communities and work to earn their support in 2022. But this new map also means that we have a LOT of grassroots organizing to do. With more than 100,000 new people in the 1st district, we need all hands on deck.

Please chip in $18 to help us scale up our grassroots outreach program ahead of the 2022 election.

Democrats have a very slim majority in the House. It is imperative that we keep our House Majority, not allow Kevin McCarthy to be Speaker, and continue to advocate for our shared values.

Chip in $18 to help us grow our grassroots, people-powered campaign.
