Illinois

Decatur, IL. – An Illinois appellate court dismissed Governor J.B. Pritzker’s appeal of a lower court’s ruling against his mask mandate in schools. This comes after a bipartisan committee of state legislators voted against an emergency rule to extend the mask mandate in classrooms, highlighting the need to end burdensome mandates on students.

“Throughout the pandemic, Democratic elites have disregarded their own mandates while student learning has suffered under these same mandates,” said Reising. “They don’t trust everyday Americans to do what’s right. The court made the right decision. We need a government that empowers us to decide what is best for ourselves, our families, and our neighbors.”

In Congress, Reising will fight to restore the principles of limited government and free enterprise. With that comes a return of power to local citizens.
