Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) issued the following statement on the Russian invasion of Ukraine:
“All freedom loving people in the world should advocate for the safety and security of the Ukrainian people. The United States must stand with Ukraine and our NATO allies against the ruthless aggressions by Russia. As is true of any sovereign nation, Ukraine should be free from unprovoked foreign military invaders. America must stand strong for freedom in the face of authoritarian global menaces like Putin. We must also undo policies that restrict the development of oil and natural gas in America, these wrong handed anti-energy policies aid countries like Russia.”
