Carol Miller for Congress: Visits Boone Memorial Hospital

West Virginia

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today visited the Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, West Virginia. During her visit, Congresswoman Miller met with hospital leaders to discuss their COVID-19 response, rural health initiatives, and plans for the hospital's expansion.

"It was wonderful to be back in Boone County to see how Boone Memorial Hospital is supporting the health and wellbeing of the region," said Congresswoman Miller. "The challenges of the last two years have underscored the integral role our healthcare workers and hospitals play in our daily lives. Boone Memorial Hospital is the heart of healing in this community, and I was pleased to witness the amazing work they're doing firsthand. I remain committed to ensuring they have the necessary resources to continue keeping southern West Virginia healthy."

"We were honored to host Congresswoman Miller at Boone Memorial Hospital today," said Virgil Underwood, CPA, President and Chief Executive Officer, Boone Memorial Hospital. "Our leadership team discussed our COVID-19 response and the exceptional work of our healthcare heroes, our growth in service lines and geographic footprint, and the exciting projects we have in the works. As Congresswoman Miller said during her visit, West Virginians have a ‘get-it-done' approach when it comes to overcoming obstacles and accomplishing goals. We whole-heartedly believe in that approach, and we are very grateful for Congresswoman Miller's guidance and support of our efforts."
