The Vargas campaign announced today that his campaign for Congress has raised $100,000 in the first 48 hours since entering the race for Nebraska’s 2nd district, with all contributions to date coming from individuals.

That roughly matches the total amount raised from individual donors by Rep. Don Bacon in the entire second quarter.

“I am thrilled and humbled to receive this outpouring of support from family, friends, neighbors, and Nebraska voters,” Vargas said. “It’s clearer than ever that Nebraskans are ready for strong, principled leadership that focuses on people first to represent them in Washington. That’s how I’ve led as a senator and that’s exactly how I’ll be as a Congressman.”
