General Treasurer and congressional candidate Seth Magaziner was today endorsed by the Local 310 Brotherhood of Utility Workers.
“We are proud to endorse Seth Magaziner for Congress because he supports the rights of workers to organize for better wages and working conditions and will be a voice for working people in Congress,” said Local 310 Brotherhood of Utility Workers President Phil Fogarty.
Magaziner has used the Office of the General Treasurer in innovative ways to promote economic opportunity for all Rhode Islanders. From the transformation of school buildings to creating new clean energy programs at the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, Magaziner has created over 30,000 good-paying jobs across the state.
“I am honored to earn the endorsement of these hardworking Rhode Islanders. I am running for Congress to fight for working families and build a brighter future for Rhode Island,” said General Treasurer and congressional candidate Seth Magaziner. “In Congress, I am committed to ensuring all workers earn fair wages, work under safe conditions, and have a voice in their workplace.”
This is Magaziner’s 12th endorsement from an organized labor group since he announced his campaign for Congress. No other candidate has received any labor endorsements. Magaziner was previously endorsed by the Rhode Island AFL-CIO, Rhode Island Building & Construction Trades Council, Rhode Island Laborers’ District Council, United Nurses and Allied Professionals, Ironworkers Local 37, Unite Here Local 26, Carpenters 330, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 51, Sheetmetal Workers Local 17, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, and Teamsters Local 251.
