SALISBURY, Md. – A Congressional candidate paid a visit to downtown Salisbury Tuesday to meet with local business owners and elected officials. “I’m here today to do a Main Street tour with some of my friends and supporters, other local elected officials, like Salisbury City Council member Michele Gregory, Wicomico County Council man Bill McCain, and others to have a dialogue with business owners on the Main Street about ways their congressional representative can better serve them,” said Heather Mizeur.
Heather Mizeur is running on the Democratic ticket for Maryland’s first congressional district. She took a tour of downtown Salisbury with local elected officials. She says she’s focused on job creation, protecting the environment, supporting schools, raising wages, and advancing health care and equal rights. Mizeur tells 47ABC she feels it’s time for a change on the Eastern Shore, and is confident she can do that. “I’m excited to be engaging with friends, working with the community here to best understand the needs. We’re going to continue doing what we’ve doing, while working to raise money, increase profile, and raising buzz and awareness about the way in which this campaign can bring us all together,” said Mizeur.
Mizeur will be facing off against incumbent Congressman Andy Harris when election time rolls around. She is also running against two other Democratic candidates. Those candidates are Dave Harden Jennifer Pingley.
