In President Franklin Roosevelt’s now-infamous speech to our nation after the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japan, Roosevelt said in his closing remarks; No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
Currently, the United States faces hostility from China, Russia, and Iran.
We are presently facing runaway inflation, a pandemic of epic illness foisted upon our nation and the rest of the world, and racial division not seen since the 1960s. Instead of our President addressing the country with inspirational words of unity, a “can-do” spirit of patriotism, and positiveness, he goes on television only sowing further division, fear, and negativity. Why?
I was under ( maybe I am mistaken) the impression that our President was supposed to be inspiring, unifying, and spread a message of hope and a brighter future, no matter what we as a nation faced.
Whether it be Congress, the Senate, or the White House, our nation’s leaders should always seek to inspire, unify, and motivate our citizenry, not denigrate and segregate it.
As your next Congressman from Southwestern Michigan, I want to remind everyone; the world once had a fellow that isolated and blamed all of his nation’s ills on the Jewish people. Yesterday, President Biden gave a speech very reminiscent of that man. All of our problems with COVID are a direct result of the “unvaccinated.”
He is isolating a certain segment of our citizens and seeking to blame the results of COVID on a few people. This simply cannot be the message to our people. This President should be ashamed of himself.
