Ezra Scott for Congress: Ezra Comments on Joe Biden Visiting New York City

Pardon my cynical nature, but I am confused. Maybe someone can better explain to me what I am missing.

First, the Democrats protested, burned, looted, and destroyed neighborhoods nationwide, telling us that the police and law enforcement was the root problem of the issues facing the inner cities.

Over the past year and a half, crime has risen to an almost unmanageable level in our major urban areas. This is mainly due to BLM and other liberal groups getting their way and police budgets being slashed.

New York City and other major metropolitan areas did precisely what was protested for. They hired Counselors and social mediators as requested. Murders skyrocketed, drugs skyrocketed, armed robberies skyrocketed. Nearly every crime (including carjacking) went through the roof. And now the Liberals wonder, “what happened?”

Why are they surprised? When you order District Attorney’s to stop prosecuting drug dealers, what do you expect to happen? When you order criminals to be released back into the general population, do you expect them all to “go straight” because of your compassion in releasing them onto the streets with no bail and no fear of being prosecuted?

And Joe Biden shows up in New York City and all of a sudden wants to get tough on crime and put money back into their policing budget. Please hyperlink this article: (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-no-defund-the-police-invest-in-law-enforcement)

As your next Congressman, allow me to assure you of a couple of items.

  1. I believe that criminals belong behind bars.
  2. I believe that if arrested, you should stand before a judge if the D.A. has enough evidence to prosecute.
  3. I believe that police keep the peace, protect the general public, and are needed fixtures on our streets in this nation.
I will always back the blue and thank them for their service.
