President Biden’s decision to intervene in Ukraine once again brings up the subject of when and if the United States should be involved in other countries.
Obviously, yes, we should always defend Israel, England, and our other very close allies. When considering Ukraine for instance, the question must be asked; how far and to what end is the United States willing to defend this old Soviet Block nation?
Ukraine is but one example, but Ezra believes that if the United States is going to be involved in foreign confrontations, we must follow the Constitution. Congress should be the final approval before any military involvement transpires.
In addition, there must be a strategic benefit for America and a moral calling. Are we trying to stop the spread of tyranny? Are we defending an ally? We should never get involved for frivolous reasons.
