Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) tonight listened to President Biden’s first prime time address from the East Room and commended the President for his historic efforts to address the pandemic and its economic fallout.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“What President Biden has accomplished in his first fifty days is historic and unprecedented – and necessary to right our ship of State. The Biden Administration has addressed the ongoing pandemic and its economic consequences with bold initiatives and with the skill that comes from experience governing through crises. I liked what I heard tonight and I’m proud to be in Congress supporting Joe Biden as he restores dignity to the White House and respect for the United States on the international stage. With his steady leadership and a talented and tested team, he will rescue our country from the pandemic and its resulting economic distress.”
