Congressman Cohen Announces Head Start Grant to Shelby County Board of Education

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the Shelby County Board of Education will receive an emergency supplemental grant of $963,101 for Head Start from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“I’m pleased that the Shelby County Board of Education is receiving this funding to help young children in our community gain access to resources they need.  Disadvantaged children, like all children, need early help to prepare for an increasingly complex world. Providing young children access to early childhood education benefits our entire community.”
