“The reports of the deaths of 13 US servicemembers and at least 60 Afghans is devastating. My prayers and condolences go out to their families and loved ones.
Unfortunately, the Biden Administration’s chaotic withdrawal has put American servicemembers in danger. It’s a national embarrassment that our country is relying on the Taliban to provide security around the Kabul airport. Our servicemembers and citizens who are trapped in Afghanistan deserve decisive action to ensure their safe evacuation from the country.”
