WASHINGTON – Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) today issued the following statement on the adoption of the Democratic budget resolution:
“Despite a crushing increase in inflation and a skyrocketing national debt, Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats passed their reckless $3.5 trillion budget proposal.
This measure includes a wish-list of gifts for the radical left and proposes more spending than any other time in American history. Unfortunately, this budget would allow Congress a pathway to provide for taxpayer funding of abortions, grant amnesty for illegal aliens, raise taxes on small businesses and expand Obamacare subsidies.
Congress needs to restore fiscal sanity, stop inflationary spending and live within its means. Continuing to print and spend trillions of dollars only harms hardworking American taxpayers and devalues their money.”
