Today, Alex Lasry’s campaign for U.S. Senate released a new “Workers’ Bill of Rights,” dedicated to protecting the rights of workers and unions across Wisconsin.

Lasry’s plan calls for guaranteeing all workers the right to organize, establishing a $15 federal minimum wage, guaranteeing paid leave to all workers, and outlawing right-to-work laws, among other policy changes.

“For far too long, our workers have been punished due to greedy companies prioritizing profits over people, and Wisconsinites have had enough,” said Alex Lasry. “I’ve always been a strong advocate for workers’ rights and unions–ensuring that all 10,000 construction jobs created by building Fiserv Forum and the resulting jobs in the arena were filled with Wisconsin union labor.”

“Every Wisconsinite deserves the right to join a union, be paid a minimum wage of $15 an hour, and get guaranteed paid leave,” Lasry continued. “We’ve also got to fight to protect the organizations standing up for our workers. By outlawing “right to work” on a federal level, requiring employers to publicly report all expenditures in anti-union campaigns, and ensuring the federal government only does business with companies that respect workers’ rights to organize, we can greatly protect the organizations that fight so hard for our workers every day.”

“I have a proven record that progressive values are good for business, and I plan on bringing that experience to the Senate,” Lasry concluded.

The Democratic Primary Election for the United States Senate will be held Tuesday, August 9th, 2022. For more information about Alex Lasry’s campaign, visit www.alexlasry.com.
