Dearborn, MI - Today, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) released the following statement applauding the Biden-Harris Administration’s nomination of Dr. Lisa Cook, a MI-12 constituent and Michigan State University economics professor, to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System:

“Dr. Lisa Cook is a class act and knows the ins and outs of economics across all sectors. From the classrooms of Michigan State University and the Harvard Kennedy School to the halls of the White House, Dr. Cook has the critical experience necessary to lead on economic growth and development at the Federal Reserve. Dr. Cook is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in her profession, mentoring young Black women in the world of economics and demonstrating that there is no limit to the goals you set. She is also a beloved constituent residing in Ann Arbor, and I’m proud to have worked with the Administration on her nomination. She will be an excellent addition to the Board of Governors, and I wish her nothing but success and strength on this journey.”
