SOUTHGATE, MI - This morning, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) delivered the annual State of the District address during the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Forum at Crystal Gardens in Southgate. This is a tradition Dingell has followed since being elected to Congress. Dingell’s remarks focused on the need to support each other during this pandemic, boost Downriver economic development, and work together to solve the issues facing our communities.

“The State of the District address is an important tradition and an opportunity to give an update on what’s happening in Michigan’s 12th District on issues from economic development and environmental cleanup to identifying critical infrastructure projects in the Downriver area. Regardless of what comes from redistricting, this is a community that stays together and is strong and vibrant. I’ll keep fighting for the Downriver communities, and I’m grateful to have this time to speak to so many residents and business leaders about how we continue to invest in our region,” said Dingell.
