Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a grant of $3,211,742 to repair, renovate and modernize its biocontainment laboratory from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“I am always pleased to see the National Institutes of Health investing in our community. This grant to upgrade UTHSC’s biocontainment lab will allow its scientists to conduct cutting-edge research in an improved facility, ultimately making discoveries that will save lives.”
