Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today went to the floor to encourage bipartisan support for the Build Back Better social and climate infrastructure bill and to praise President Biden’s leadership.
In his remarks, Congressman Cohen said in part:
“President Biden is leading this country in the right direction. He’s moving us forward but the Republicans refuse to see it. The Build Back Better bill will help middle class families, produce more jobs, reduce taxes, and make costs less for prescription drugs, on home health care for seniors, on child care for working mothers and give them an opportunity to participate in America’s economy. President Biden led us on the bipartisan infrastructure bill…There’s nothing partisan about getting goods to market, about speeding up supply chains, which happens when you get good roads.”
