Today, Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) announced Tennessee gained 80,100 jobs this year since President Biden took office, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Congressman Cohen, a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, helped local businesses create jobs by voting in favor of the American Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, both of which were signed into law by President Biden.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“Today’s jobs report shows that Democrats’ economic plan is working, and Memphians are getting back to work. The infrastructure law is building off the momentum of the American Rescue Plan by creating millions of good-paying jobs, and it will continue to rebuild America and Memphis’s infrastructure year after year.”
