Congressman Cohen Announces Cancer Research Grant to UTHSC

 Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a $639,058 grant from the National Cancer Institute to conduct research on a project entitled “Managing Obesity by Leveraging Health Information Technology to Lower Cancer Risk.”

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“I am pleased to see the National Institutes of Health investing in important research at our medical school, keeping researchers and lab technicians at work to make important discoveries that will improve health outcomes. This research is sure to save lives.”
