Congressman Cohen Announces National Endowment for the Arts Grants Recipients

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) announced today that three Memphis area arts organizations will share $45,000 in National Endowment for the Arts grants. Creative Aging Memphis will receive $10,000 for art projects and multidisciplinary works; Indie Memphis will receive $20,000 for media arts projects; and the University of Memphis will receive $15,000 to research the availability of grants in the arts.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“It is inspiring to see our local artists at work and encouraging that the National Endowment for the Arts has found such talent locally to support. I commend all three organizations on winning these prestigious grant awards.”

The awards announced this week are the first round of recommended awards for fiscal year 2022.  Grants for Arts Projects funding spans 15 artistic disciplines and reaches communities in every state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
