Republican Frontrunner Scott Gryder Drives Home Pro-Growth Economic Message as Election Day Nears

OSWEGO, Ill. (June 21, 2022) – Today, Kendall County Board Chairman, Scott R. Gryder, frontrunner for nomination of the Republican Party to challenge Lauren Underwood for Illinois’ 14th Congressional District released his closing message to voters as they prepare to head to the polls on June 28.

Gryder’s ad, titled, “We’ve Paid Enough,” is an encapsulation of the hardships working families face daily while in the grip of the Biden-Underwood economy.

Upon public debut of his closing ad, Gryder released the following:

“My campaign kicked off with a commitment to meeting residents across the 14th District to listen and learn about ways in which we could improve the lives and outcomes of everyday people. Since then, countless individuals have shared deep concerns about their future, and the safety and security of their loved ones, friends, and neighbors who are struggling to get ahead in the worst economy our nation has faced in over 40 years.

Families have shared the anxiety of being forced to choose between putting food on the table and filling their gas tanks to get to work. Small business owners on main street are worried about keeping their doors open due to rising costs, supply shortages, and costly government regulations. Seniors on fixed incomes are worried about the skyrocketing cost of living, especially for medicine and rent.

During all of these conversations, I consistently hear the need for a change in direction and I agree. We need new leadership that will stand up for the hard-working families of Illinois 14th District and fight to end the failing policies of Joe Biden and his congressional ally, Lauren Underwood, backed by out of touch radicals like Nancy Pelosi. We need change, not more of the same, and change begins when we retake the 14th District to send a proven leader with a pro-growth, pro-family, pro-freedom record of accomplishment to Congress.”

Currently serving as Kendall County Board Chairman, Scott Gryder is challenging Lauren Underwood for the future of Illinois 14th District on behalf of the hard-working people he meets every day who need relief from far-left activist government.
