Congressman Cohen Praises President Biden’s Choice of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for the U.S. Supreme Court

 Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, today praised President Biden’s historic selection of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for the U.S. Supreme Court. She would be the first Black woman and the first former federal public defender on the Supreme Court.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is an experienced, brilliant and analytical judge who is ready to make a difference on our highest court. She has the character and temperament for the court. With a history at both the district court and appellate court levels, she will make a brilliant U.S. Supreme Court Justice.”
