Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the Shelby County Health Department’s Ambient Air Monitoring Network will receive a $520,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“Air pollution is a health hazard, especially for those with asthma and other breathing problems. This funding from the EPA will improve air quality by supporting a robust program administering permits, inspecting facilities, monitoring air quality and enforcing clean-air regulations. This is a good investment in public health.”
