Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a $473,819 grant from the National Eye Institute for research predicting the risk of glaucoma.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“I am always pleased to announce research funding from one of the National Institutes of Health. This particular funding will help address glaucoma which disproportionately affects the African American community. I am sure it will result in better outcomes for patients.”
