The Young Guns program help candidates who show strong promise of winning competitive races

Decatur, IL. – Today the National Republican Congressional Committee announced the addition of Jesse Reising to the “On the Radar” list of candidates as part of the Young Guns program. The program helps equip Republican candidates across the country with the tools they need to run winning campaigns.

“Quality candidates from all across the country are stepping up to help Republicans make history and take back the House,” said Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy. “With their help, we are going to fire Nancy Pelosi and hold the Biden Administration accountable for its record of failure and incompetence.”

Reising’s addition to the program comes after strong first quarter fundraising by Reising and a ratings change by Sabato’s Crystal Ball who moved Illinois’ thirteenth congressional district from “likely Democratic” to “lean Democratic”, indicating a highly competitive race.

“I’m honored to be recognized by Leader McCarthy and the NRCC for our efforts to keep Illinois’ Thirteenth Congressional District red this November,” said Reising, Republican candidate for Illinois’ thirteen congressional district. ”At a time of record inflation and high energy prices, the people of Southern and Central Illinois want new leadership from one of their own, not another Biden Bureaucrat. I’m energized by Republican leaders’ recognition of our hard work and their support of my candidacy.”
