Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) applauded the House of Representatives’ passage of H.R. 6833, the Affordable Insulin Now Act:

“The price of insulin has skyrocketed, forcing too many Americans to make the unconscionable choice between taking their essential medication and affording life’s other basic necessities. The Affordable Insulin Now Act finally rights this wrong, capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month and putting the medicine within reach. This is an important step forward in House Democrats’ comprehensive approach and ongoing efforts to lower the cost of all prescription drugs for Americans.

“I applaud Ways and Means member, Congressman Dan Kildee, for his work bringing this legislation to the floor, and I urge the Senate to take up this critical legislation quickly and send it straight to President Biden’s desk.”
