Neal Hails Ways and Means Leadership as Russia Legislation Heads to President Biden’s Desk

Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the House passed legislation to ban Russian energy imports and suspend normal trade relations with Russia and Belarus:

“Finally, these critical, bipartisan Ways and Means bills will become law and Putin will experience even greater pressure and isolation. We in Congress must do all we can to end the slaughter of innocent civilians, total destruction of cities, and assault on democracy in Ukraine. Ways and Means Committee members are united in our commitment to confront these atrocities and hold the Putin regime responsible for its campaign of terror against the Ukrainian people.”
