Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) will commemorate the 54th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday with solemn reflection on what might have been, and made the following statement:

“Memphis will always be remembered for being the site of one of America’s worst crimes. Fifty-four years after Dr. King  was shot on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel, the nation mourns his loss and dreams of what might have been and what should have been.”
