Congressman Cohen Announces Covid-19 Research Grant to UTHSC

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a $231,000 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to study the genetic determinants regulating susceptibility and resistance to SARS CoV-2 (Covid).

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“As the ongoing pandemic surges with new variants, this timely NIH investment will support critical research at our medical school and will save lives. I am pleased to see that our Memphis-based researchers are tackling this important work.”
