Today, Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) cosponsored H.R. 5892, the Our Veterans Earned It Act. Rep. McClain introduced this legislation alongside Congressman Brian Babin (R-TX) to ensure that no veteran loses their VA benefits for choosing not to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Our veterans earned their benefits when they fought to protect our country. The fact that they could be at risk of losing these benefits due to a vaccine mandate is disturbing,” said Congresswoman Lisa McClain. “It’s past time we do something about President Biden’s gross overreach and I’m appreciative of Rep. Babin’s efforts to protect our veterans.”
“I will not stand by and watch while Biden steals from our veterans what they’ve bravely earned,” said Babin. “My bill will stop this president’s disgusting and totalitarian overreach in its tracks. Our service members didn’t fight to protect our freedom just to have their own freedom taken away.”
