Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a grant of $308,000 from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences for research involving the rapamycin complex 1, a protein complex that controls protein synthesis.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“I am always pleased to see one of the National Institutes of Health investing in medical research at our medical school. This grant will expand our knowledge and potentially result in better treatments and therapies.”
