WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement on the passing of former Senator Johnny Isakson:

“Johnny Isakson was a dedicated public servant with a big heart and a steadfast friend to our nation’s service members and veterans. His leadership on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee led to meaningful improvements in veterans services that have and will continue to make a difference in the lives of men and women who wore our nation’s uniform. I will always be grateful for his friendship and the example he set as he accomplished these achievements with respect, care and love.

Cathy and I are praying for his family, Georgians and all Americans who loved him. As they mourn his loss, I know they are also proud of the lasting legacy Johnny has left our country.”
