Today, Congressman Andy Levin (MI-09) welcomed Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona to Macomb Community College for a tour of M-TEC and a roundtable discussion with students and educators. He released the following statement:
"It can feel abstract to be here pushing for things like America's College Promise Act and the JOBS Act, and for the Secretary of Education to come to Macomb Community College, to the heart of the district, and share how central these things are to the American Family Plan is really amazing.
"It is incredible to have a Secretary of Education who comes from public education, with his commitment to a great public school education for every kid coming from his own lived experience. It was powerful to see his genuine excitement about the way Macomb Community College integrates student services and the web of connections from K-12 schools to employers."
