Governor John Engler endorsed Tudor Dixon and released the following statement:
"Tudor Dixon is a common-sense, optimistic leader whose integrity and willingness to listen to people and understand how they are thinking through and responding to the extraordinary pressures of our time sets her apart from the current leadership in Lansing.
"Tudor knows that to restore a Michigan that works we need practical solutions that will improve people’s lives.
"She wants every child in Michigan to have a good school to go to; she wants every worker prepared with good-paying jobs to choose from; she wants every family to have a safe neighborhood to live in; and she wants Michigan to have a future worthy of our rich heritage. We need Lansing to focus on these important priorities to get our state back on track. Finding governing solutions that improve people’s lives and achieve these goals that Michigan citizens strongly support requires the bold and unifying leadership that Tudor Dixon offers.
"Elections are always about the future. Michigan needs and deserves leadership that listens then acts. Tudor is a principled unifier who can bring our party and state together to win in November. She will bring that same leadership to Governor’s office as she works for the people of Michigan.
"I have watched as Tudor has continued to impress all who get to know her. I am proud to lend her my full support and I urge everyone to learn more about her. I look forward to helping her win in any way I can, and I am excited about what her bold and transformative leadership will do for the people of Michigan."
