Medicare Open Enrollment

Michigan

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The Medicare Open enrollment period begins October 15th and runs until December 7th. Open enrollment is a great opportunity to check your plan, assess your health needs, and see if you can take advantage of lower premiums and extra benefits!

During open enrollment, folks can decide whether original Medicare or Medicare Advantage (MA) — an alternative that relies on private health insurance plans — is best for their health needs. You can switch between Medicare and Medicare Advantage, or change MA plans. You can also decide whether to enroll in a Part D prescription drug plan or change existing Part D plans. Any changes you make will take effect in January 2022.
