WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Ruthanne Fuller on advancing to the general election in the race for mayor of Newton, MA. Laphonza Butler, president of EMILY’s List, released the following statement:

In 2018, Ruthanne Fuller was sworn in as the 31st mayor of Newton, becoming the first ever woman to hold the position. Prior to her mayoral run, Ruthanne served as a city councilor from Ward 7 and served as vice chair of the Newton Citizen Advisory Group.
