This week, Congressman Bruce Westerman (AR-04) announced the Fourth District’s winners of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition. First place winner Dominique Palucis’ work, titled " Genuine," will be displayed in the main hallway between the Cannon House Office Building and the U.S. Capitol for the upcoming year.

"Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Congressional Art Competition," said Rep. Westerman. "I was thoroughly impressed with the remarkable talent of our Fourth District students and their dedication to honing their creative skills. All the applicants should be very proud of their accomplishments and continue to pursue their passion for art. Miss Palucis’ work will represent the Fourth District well as Members of Congress, staff, and visitors walk to and from the U.S. Capitol.”

Each spring, a nationwide high school visual art competition is sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent of our nation's youth, including those in the Fourth Congressional District.

Winners are chosen by a panel of five judges from the following categories: design/composition, skill/technique, and overall execution.

The winners are as follows:

  • 1st Place: “Genuine” by Dominique Palucis of County Line High School
