Carol Miller for Congress: Celebrates Grand Opening of Lotus Recovery Centers in Comfort

West Virginia

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) joined state and local officials to celebrate the grand opening of Lotus Recovery Centers' new location in Comfort, West Virginia.

Lotus Recovery Centers, a substance use treatment subsidiary of Lotus Healthcare Group, has purchased the former Comfort Motel and converted the space to a full-service residential treatment facility. In conjunction with Lotus Recovery Centers' location in Berkeley Springs, the organization intends to address West Virginia's addiction crisis by offering treatment that simultaneously incorporates substance use, mental health and holistic care, giving patients a greater chance at achieving recovery.

"Here in West Virginia, we're a family. We help each other through hard times, and when we see a neighbor struggling, we do what we can to help them get back on their feet," said Congresswoman Miller. "That West Virginia value is exemplified at Lotus Recovery Centers. As we work together at the state, local, and federal level to combat the drug crisis and help those in recovery, I know this facility will serve as a beacon of hope for southern West Virginia."

"Boone county is now seeing a glimmer of hope in our decade-long struggle with opioid addiction that has ravaged our communities," Delegate Josh Holstein said. "I look forward to continue working with Lotus Recovery to meet the needs of our communities and to help Boone County move in a positive direction."

"We're grateful to have the support of Rep. Miller, who is just as dedicated to combating the opioid epidemic as we are," said David Stup, Lotus Recovery Centers Chief Marketing Officer. "West Virginians have been hit particularly hard with this crisis, and in our effort to provide treatment and resources, it's an honor to have Rep. Miller by our side."
