Carol Miller for Congress: Statement Regarding Passport Delays

West Virginia

"However, a surge of people seeking passports for international travel – combined with an already existing backlog at the State Department due to COVID-19 closures – has resulted in a significant delay in passport application processing. To avoid this issue, I encourage all West Virginians to apply for your passport as soon as possible, or at least six months before your travel date. If you are currently experiencing these delays, please reach out to my office for assistance. My team stands ready to help you and your families get back to traveling the world as soon as possible!"
