WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today announced a grant of $1,013,144 from the Department of Health and Human Services to the Nicholas Community Action Partnership, Inc. for the Head Start Programs in Nicholas County.
"Today's grant announcement is fantastic news for southern West Virginia children and families," said Congresswoman Miller. "By investing in our children's education, we can help ensure they're equipped with the knowledge, resources, and skills to pursue a bright future and successful career path. I am grateful for this funding and for the Head Start Programs' commitment to our next generation."
The Head Start Programs provide parents and children, from birth to age five, with the skills they need to begin their school career. These programs foster a positive learning environment to encourage children's growth and development in the areas of early learning, health, and family well-being.
