Congressional candidate Rod Dorilás (FL-22) announced today that he has received the endorsement of U.S. Congressman Burgess Owens (UT-04) and his political action committee, Just Win Baby PAC (JWB PAC). Congressman Owens currently represents Utah’s 4th congressional district.

Congressman Owens said, “Right now America needs a leader who is willing to fight to preserve the American Dream. As a first generation American and the only veteran in the race for Florida’s 22nd congressional district, I know Rod brings the passion, leadership, and the fight to ensure our conservative values are represented in Washington D.C. Rod is our best chance to defeat Lois Frankel in November and take back the House of Representatives. I look forward to working with Rod in the coming weeks and months to ensure we send a true conservative fighter to Washington.”

On receiving Congressman Owen’s endorsement, Rod Dorilás said: “It is a great honor to receive the endorsement and support of Congressman Burgess Owens. Congressman Owens has been an inspirational force for good, both on and off the field. He works tirelessly for the American people, standing up against the far-Left, tackling Critical Race Theory, fighting back against human trafficking, restoring common-sense principles to congressional governance, and protecting our treasured small businesses. Congressman Owens is a leader in our country and it will be an honor to join him and his efforts when I’m elected this November. I look forward to serving the American people with the same fighting spirit!”

Rod Dorilás is a first-generation American son of Haitian immigrants. Rod joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served three tours overseas. Upon his return home, Dorilas graduated from Syracuse University College of Law and went on to serve in the Trump administration as counsel to Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross. Rod is now running for Congress as a Republican in Florida’s 22nd congressional district.

Congressman Burgess Owens was first elected to represent Utah’s 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020. Prior to his political career, Congressman Burgess Owens attended the University of Miami where he was the first African-American student-athlete inducted into the UM Sports Hall of Fame for his time with the University of Miami football organization. Owens then went on to become a professional football player, Super Bowl XV champion, non-profit executive, and pillar of his community home in Utah.
