Morristown, NJ— Congressional Candidate Tom Toomey (R - NJ11) blasted U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill for remaining silent on the ongoing Cuban Protests. The Cuban people have taken to the streets demanding freedom and basic everyday necessities.

The following statement can be attributed to Congressional Candidate Tom Toomey (R - NJ11):

“It’s been over 24 hours since protests erupted onto the streets of Cuba and my opponent has remained silent on the crisis. She sits on the U.S. Armed Services Committee, does nothing, says nothing and is nowhere to be found while the Cuban people are waving American flags and calling for our support in their demands for Covid-19 aid, humanitarian aid and basic necessities. It is shameful that we have do-nothing politicians, who are only interested in satisfying party bosses and Washington lobbyists. A free and prosperous Cuba starts with an America that will support freedom unwaveringly, but that will never happen with politicians like Mikie Sherrill, who support communist sympathizers like AOC & the squad to climb the political ladder.”
