Today, U.S. Rep. French Hill (AR-02), along with Senator John Boozman and Senator Tom Cotton, announced the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport and the Morrilton Municipal Airport were awarded grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for taxiway reconstruction.

The members said, “These investments in the Little Rock and Morrilton airports will be instrumental in supporting central Arkansas’s economy. Updating the Little Rock airport’s infrastructure promotes safe and efficient travel for the nearly two million passengers flying in and out of Arkansas’s largest airport each year.”

The $962,425 grant for the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport will go toward reconstructing 7,000 feet of existing taxiway pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.

The Morrilton Municipal Airport will use its $97,232 grant to perform crack repair and sealing to 4,900 feet of the existing parallel and connector taxiway surfaces to extend the pavement's useful life.
