Carol Miller for Congress: Visits Cabell County COVID-19 Vaccine Center

West Virginia

Huntington, WV – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today visited the Cabell-Huntington Health Department's COVID-19 Vaccine Center in Cabell County. During her visit, Congresswoman Miller toured the facility and met with Dr. Michael Kilkenny, CEO and Health Officer of the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, to discuss how West Virginia is leading the nation in vaccination efforts and hear how additional vaccine allocations are benefiting West Virginians in Cabell County.

"I am so proud of our state for its successful distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and am thankful to see first-hand all the hard work that is being done to beat this virus in Cabell County," said Congresswoman Miller. "I commend Dr. Kilkenny and his outstanding team at the Cabell-Huntington Health Department for all they are doing to get as many shots in arms as possible. Thanks in part to his strong leadership in our state, West Virginia has set an international example of effective, efficient vaccine distribution. Every successful vaccine brings us one step closer to defeating this virus, and I know we will get through this pandemic together with West Virginia's example guiding the path forward."

"We are excited to be able to provide this service with all the partnership and all the assistance of all the agencies to make sure that our public is safe," said Dr. Kilkenny.
