Rep. French Hill (AR-02) today issued the following statement after voting against H. Res. 789, Censuring and Committee Removal of Representative Paul Gosar.
"To be clear, a video depicting violence against a fellow colleague in the House is abhorrent, and I condemn it.
"However, today’s rush to punishment is yet another offense against the norms of the House including due process and thorough investigations of all, including in their own party, who commit offenses and demonstrates that for them, the means always justify the ends.
"For a party obsessed with punishing norm breakers, it’s baffling how Democrats are so blinded by their virtue that they can’t see their own hypocrisy."
